En vacance à Saint-Malo nous nous sommes arrêtés au Cambusier pour le déjeuner. La carte du midi a un très bon rapport qualité-prix (16€ entrée-plat ou plat-dessert). Les produits sont frais et de qualité, les assiettes sont sans prétention mais on sent qu'ici c'est le produit qui prime. Lors de notre visite nous avions en entrée le nougats de chèvre au fruits secs et la crème de girolle, suivi du crostini de sardines poêlées et de la bavette d'aloyau, trop bon. Le service est adorable et souriant et la salle est très bien décorée (ambiance cosy chic). Nous avons tellement apprécié notre repas que nous y sommes retournés pour y dîner. Cette fois-ci nous avons pris le menu du Cambusier à 38€....
We happened upon this restaurant for lunch one day and sat outside in the sunshine. We were so impressed we came the next night for dinner. The food is amazing. At lunch we had the juiciest chicken with a delicate risotto. For dinner we had the €38 set menu and were very impressed. Our son (aged 9) is quite a picky eater and they were very accommodating. You can tell that it is a family restaurant (mother and daughter are front of house) as they care about the service and your experience. We would highly recommend and will definitely return. Much better than the traditional St Malo restaurants serving moules and crepes.
After reading good reviews we stopped here for lunch. It was very quiet which surprised us. The staff were very attentive to us and our kids. We chose the octopus salad which was excellent, the cod with chanterelles which was fresh and perfectly cooked and the chocolate slice and raspberry tart for dessert. The kids ate from the kids menu and this too was well cooked and presented. A Lovely simple meal cooked and presented very well in nice surroundings away from the swarms of tourists. Not Michelin star material but definitely worthy of being in the guide. Would recommend!
We spent a very good time in this restaurant with a pleasant and relaxed service. the interior is beautifully decorated, the well spaced tables. on the menu everything seems to be as good, even if the wines are a little expensive. In the entrance, the eight crests of cancale are incredible, followed by a square of divine lamb. we left at an exceptional level until dessert. Too bad to finish this fabulous meal on this cowboy without taste. I think the thousand leaf had been a better choice.

As the restaurant was reviewed and recommended by Michelin we hoped for a good meal, but the Cambusier menu at 38 euros was less than expected. The octopus starter had a too salty sauce that hid all the natural taste and the main dish with cod was strangely composed with tastes that didn't fit well together. The dessert and the childrens menu was good and recommendable. The staff were busy serving a large group, but could have paid a bit more attention to our table.
Trouver un VRAI restaurant dans Saint-Malo intra-muros peut s'avérer une gageure, dîner au Cambusier un vrai bonheur...service chaleureux et sympathique, cuisine raffinée, cuisson parfaite des poissons, carte des vins bien équilibrée, excellent rapport qualité-prix.Je recommande ce restaurant en réservant au préalable.
Als een goeden niet te groot restaurant in Saint Malo zoekt iets buiten het toeristisch gewoel dan is dit de ideale plaats.Het eten is zeer lekker en zeer mooi gepresenteerd;Ook de bediening is van dezelfde orde.Zeker een aanrader.
Nous avons passé un agréable moment, l'équipe est formidable, le restaurant est d'une propreté irréprochable et les produits sont d'excellente qualités !!Je recommande vivement ce restaurant pour ceux qui aime la cuisine raffinée

Cette fois ci nous avons trouvé un bon restaurant.Accueil chaleureux y compris pour le chien. Entrées partagées délicieuses et plat de poisson - cabillaud - très bien execute.Ca fait plaisir !
