Le Castel - Reserva de mesa

We arrived early as our preferred restaurant the Terrasse was closed (Monday). The restaurant Le Castel was empty. Le Castel is alongside a large holiday trailer park I'm sure it gets busy later on from the hungry campers. Another couple were debating wether to dine at the Castel they seemed reassured when we went in. As said it was empty. Both us and the other couple were offered tables in a thoroughfare next to the main service hatch. We asked to be seated in the main empty dining area the French couple asked likewise. They were shown into the empty humongous dining area we had to wait for an English speaking waitress. We were then told by the English speaking waitress that the dodgy table...

very welcoming staff, and the young waitress speaks very well English to what we saw at the table next to. The dishes were very good, and fairly copied. Even the little plate was full! the request for a chairlift for our 3-year-old child was respected. very pretty terrace with a vine ceiling above our heads, it's very pretty. parking lots of places just across the street. I especially recommend to those who would like to eat things typical of the dick, such as the caillette, cricket and brown cream!

This is right next to the camping site Retourtour, and adjacent to the ruined castle , hence the name. A vine covered terrace is perfect for lunch or early evening. We arrived fairly exhausted from a long drive. Portions are generous, the pizza's are excellent (I agree with a previous review about the fabulous bases) and really well topped. Service was good. Nothing in France is cheap these days but it was quite modestly priced and made for a lovely evening.

We came on a busy evening. Despite this the service was fast, and the staff welcoming and friendly. We had a le castel salad and a salmon pizza: very good pizza a very hearty salad but too salty (could perhaps have been accompanied by bread) As for the setting, it is a pretty terrace under the vines. Too bad we are so close to each other even if it is understandable given the world that night. We advise you to book in advance Service: Dine in Reserva una mesa ahora

Very pleasant meal despite the rain that came! The staff was very friendly and welcomed us without an appointment! Our dishes were very good and the place was nice! A very good moment of relaxation around a beef gallows, the meat was excellent and so was the rest. The service was perfect, very good contact with the staff. I highly recommend taking the detour to enjoy the moment. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Have visited this restaurant every visit to Lamastre. The pizzas are excellent with great bases and topping, fantastic flavour and good service. Nice place to eat inside or out, with good parking opposite the restaurant.
