Le Chalet Du Coucou

Stayed over night in the town and not far from our accommodation we spotted this restaurant. Impossible not to see it: the restaurant has a shape of cuckoo clock. Made with wood, decorated with colourful lights and real flowers. Outside there is a small pool with golden fishes, see roses and frogs. Inside lovely rustikal decoration with cuckoo clocks and other traditional items. Stunning ambience. The service staff is very friendly. We were served by one guys, he spoke English a bit. There isn't English menu though. Meal of the day was fried frog legs, price was 26€. Lots of people ordered it. We ordered 3 course meals each and we literally stuffed. After we paid our bill we got 2 tiny croissants to-go. Nice. When we were out, around 11 pm, the cuckoo on top of house began to cuckoo and the view was great. We were very pleased by food, location, service. Next time i definitely will try fried frog legs

Ideally placed to be found, to park, and to wonder at the view over the Lake Bourget, this chalet makes you feel at home, and to want to return. We ate in the glass bay extension to the right at the entrance which is arguably better for the view and airiness and not too busy. The restaurant has other smaller and larger rooms for holiday periods, The large room is bound to be noisy, but ours was fine. The food was quiet excellent, great value for money, and serving fresh local products such as fish from the lake. Wine list could be better but we had no complaints about our choice. Service was rapid and friendly. So this is easily recommendable and excellent value for money, 4 people €200 incl apperitf, wine and cofee drinks was a great surprise. Not be to be missed if only to see the multiple coucou clocks inside,

This is a well known restaurant to eat regional dishes like fondue or raclette, but the menu is proposing also different plates to meet everyone desires. Personnel is smiling and professional. Try the fondue with mushrooms which is the best for me.

Awesome displays around the restaurant Great food! Good value Do try the fried fish too. Fondue was not strong tasting. Mild taste.

This very nicely decorated restraint located in front of lake promenade. Good local food, special fish meals.
