Le Channel - Reservar una mesa

We had been in France with our largish Wire Haired Viszla which I did not wish to leave in the car with the windows open. Whilst looking round we passed the restaurant and received a greeting from the waiter. We decided on Le Channel as it had outside seating to accommodate the dog. When we arrived the waiter said come inside if you want. We were shown to some banquette seating and the dog settled under the table. Somewhere to eat with the dog was our primary requirement and this was met in full. The food was acceptable but we were not looking for fine dining. I had fish soup my wife had mussels with a carafe of Viognier and coffee all for around €35. There were also some families with children who seemed to be well catered for. As we always travel with our dog if we use the Ouistreham route again we will return.

Repas pas trop mal bon revoir escalopes de veau à la Normande ça ne ressemblait pas à une escalope et à la Normande , il y a de la crème avec les champignons et non du fond. Service tres long pour un restaurant qui ressemble plus à une brasserie cas un gastro. Règles d'hygiène à revoir chaise bébé dans des toilettes pauvre gosse....

This can only be surviving thanks to its proximity to the ferry. Compared to local competition the food is sub-par and overpriced. Service was slow and inefficient and the whole place needs a decor rethink. Somewhere between Greece, Paris and a BR train carriage. Very odd.

A éviter sauf en période de jeun ; Service déplorable , doses homéopathiques; qualité douteuse, seule la bière était fraiche. Regrettable car était convenable il y a encore 18 mois. Triste image pour le touriste étranger.
