Le Charleston Brasserie

We went to Bauge to visit the Apothecary and the Monday afternoon market and popped in here for lunch. It was busy with local custom both in the bar area and the separate restaurant area. As we were not hungry we plumped for Croque m'sieur which was freshly made and tasty. Service was efficient and pleasant

Stopped by for a light lunch while we waited for Hotel Dieu to open. Really delicious salad and le patron did not mind me excluding prawns and adding extra tomato. Everything was super-fresh and portions were good. The local wine was delicious, and the pannacotta very good

Visited on a cold Sunday in November (without a reservation) to find Le Charleston heaving with locals enjoying the good value food. Three course meal, wine and coffee with change from €50 is good value, and the food was rustic but none the worse for that. Recommended.

Just called in before dinner. Friendly welcoming service. Great selection of rap beers including Leffe rouge and blonde, hoegarden and others. Staff were very friendly and if I lived in the area this would be my local. Well done guys.

Quick stop to look around the market and we stopped here for coffee what an excellent choice. Would definitely recommend to fellow travellers
