"Beautiful setting for dinner tonight, pleasantly surprised with delicious food, very well presented and the surroundings of the castle blew us away. We were the only diners but nothing was a trouble, compliments to the chef."

We were taken by friends to celebrate a birthday and had reserved 6 places. On arrival we were told the dining room not available and was in use for a small party so we were shown down dingy corridor to an enclosed cold large stone room were a table had been set for us. No windows to see through. No other tables. We were placed in front of a large log fire as it was very cold and smoke spread around us. The service was very slow and we arrived at midday but only finished our meal at 3.45pm! Several normal items off the 26 euro menu were not available. Our host ordered an excellent bottle of red wine which was then not available and two half bottles were brought. Overall food quality was mixe...

We visited this restaurant for the first time after looking on tripadvisor. When you arrive , the first sight is impressing. The terrasse outside is nice too. The reception was mediocre, a bit formal. The menu looks nice. It was a pity that from the...a la carte menu out of desserts were not available. Also choosing the entree from the euro menu as part of the a la carte menu was not possible! Even willing to pay extra...... asking about coffee and tea with digestive the staff said there was only coffee no tea and no digestive. After saying that I did not expect this in France the waiter looked kind of odd. To be honest it was overall quite disappointing......

Went with several ladies....for a most pleasant lunch. This was booked and we had a lovely long table just for us. The staff nearly all trainees, try their up most to give us good service. This is also a school for children with learning difficulties...so one should remember this when visiting as you may have to repeat your request...sometime! The food was good, pleasant but not fantastic but certainly worth a visit as this help not only the finance of this school but also give confidence to the youngsters.
