The Smoking Dog: We have been here twice now, visiting from Massachusetts, and love everything thing about the amazing food, great service, and cozy atmosphere. Go on Tuesday and do the 5 course chef’s tasting for two, worth every penny! The cocktails list is both...classic and creative and the wine list is lengthy. My only wish is that they had a micro brew on tap, Labatt and Stella “hang” from the ceiling. Long story short this place is a 5 star hidden gem

Food was amazing, ambience great, and our server 'Gabriel ' was spot on and really made a great experience of the evening. Then.. we had the little wanna be owner /chef come up and ruined it all cocky little bast*Rd, as he walked past with...a beef Wellington we looked at it like oh looks good and his exact words were this is something expensive .. alright you little sh 't I won 't drop another 500 at your place again. shame because Gabriel was great

eating was amazing, ambiente great, and our server 'gabriel' was on the site and really made a great experience of the evening. then. we had the little ones wanting to come wearer / boil and ruined it all swayy little bast* rd when he went past. a bark wellington we saw it as oh looks good and his exact cakes were a bit expensive .. in order, you little one I'll fall back 500 at their place.

So first the downside. The menu is only in French, and is only written on chalkboards. It is hard enough to see the full menu on the chalkboards, and that combined with my spotty French made ordering really difficult. The waitress was clearly not interested...in helping. Of the food we ordered, the appetizer and one of the entrees was excellent, while the other entree was pretty good.

I only recently discovered this restaurant quite by accident when a friend was visiting. It was so good and, finally, an excellent restaurant with reasonably priced wine. Can't wait to return.

good meal in le chien fumant. chinatown calamari and pork bauch Donair-Appetiser were delicious and interchangeable for two people. fish dishes we have tried were both fresh and delicious.

recently I discovered this restaurant quite randomly when a friend visited. it was so good and finally an excellent restaurant with cheap wine. I can't wait to return.
