My partner and I were exploring Ramatuelle on Saturday evening and decided to stop for dinner at Le Cigalon as we wanted to eat 'local' so the Italian restaurant just didn't appeal to us. The restaurant has apparently been under new family management since last year and the family appear to have taken on quite a task in turning around the rather poor reputation left by previous owner. Our restaurant choice for the evening turned out to be a very wise choice. Not only is the location pretty fab - sitting under-cover in the Place de l'Ormeau, but the food was delicious (a very nice pear tart and a moulleux au chocolate cooked by the mother of our waiter was the perfect finish a great evening),...
after a reasonable ride, hot, hungry and thirsty on road bikes. the caffe and the person waiting in the restaurant did not come enthusiastic about two cyclists, so tried le cigalon (the looked pretty posh, compared to the other two places)....Le cigalon greeted us, found us a beautiful table for two in the shade, and the offered an excellent 3-course lunch, with a beautiful green salat to start, then a ham and a separate cheek all washed with cold beer and a small pitcher of the local Rosé wine. they have even filled our water bottles for our domestic journey with cold water and ice! total cost was €45 per head, which they expect in this tourist opposite.
Together with my boyfriend we decided to indulge a french crêpe. I never thought that it is even possible to mess up a pancake served in a crêperie. Not to mention that we are talking about a national French dish ordered in France! We had a crêpe sucrée and crêpe Grand Marnier. Both were gummy, gluey, tasteless, not buttery....just DISGUSTING!! The one with Grand Marnier was around €7 a price you pay for barely any liquor in it. Next day we bought some crêpes from Casino (french super market chain) which tasted amazing compared to this plastic stuff served in the so called restaurant. My advise, just spend your money elsewhere.
We were having a drink next door and we're looking at the Cigalon. We went there for dinner and ordered a Gambas/octopus grill, salmon and frog legs : delicious !!!For desert we got chocolate Fondant : wowwwwWe met the family owner, romain and mother (the cook) and sister. Go go there it s simple , fresh , good and on budget.Congratulations !!! We will be back .By the way, just opposite the beautiful church of Ramatuelle where Johnny Halliday got married and many more for the record.Cheers to Cigalon

We've spend few days in Ramatuelle! Lovely place that we kindly recommend! Le Cigalon it's one of the most beautiful restaurants - great service, great chef and a very nice atmosphere! The owners are wonderful and this you can feel in your meal! Even if you have an allergy you will be treated with all the respect and attention! We recommend Le Cigalon - If you are in Ramatuelle don't miss it! Fam. Bosmans

Sweet little place in the old town of Ramatuelle. Menu is pretty middle of the road and the food is ok at best. Very friendly and welcoming service staff. Seating is outside and charming. I am raving about this place but it has its place away from all the tourists traps down the road. Pricing is ok at best! They have to make a living I guess
we chose this restaurant for breakfast and were not disappointed by the pancakes with fresh juice and a hot drink for 9€. very reasonable and in the Bustling headquarters, so they just see the life over!
