Emblematic place to see! It is impressive to see the work done by a single man in 33 years and beautiful. Walking in this monument really shows you the thumb of the work realized and will emerbate small and large. There is parking nearby and everything is pretty well indicated. However, I find that the price is a little expensive for a place full of inscriptions (the walls are full of visitor messages so I will be sure that the people on the site are not responsible for their actions but it could still be maintained). I find these inscriptions to fake this wonderful work.
Like others we were visiting the Postman's palace and needed food. This is part shop part resturant and a quirky place that we want to find in France. A short and simple menu, salads, grilled meats and some pasta dishes. Lovel attentive service and nice cold presse beers. We had a grilled pork chop with frites and a simple fresh green salad. It hit the spot before our visit, and was very good value as well. Go and enjoy you will get that Rough and ready experience...PS the chef is a massive chap and a rugby man, friendly and worth keeping on side!!!
We took a lunch there after a visit of '' Le Palais du Facteur Cheval '' about 100 meters away and we appreciated the comfort and the coolness of the restaurant . We took 2 lunch specials at 13,50 euros : meat loaf and ravioles for my wife and the goat cheese salad for myself and appreciated both meals specially that the wine was included ! The service was friendly and efficient . overall , a real good value
I didn't expect much of this place as it is right next to the touristy Palais Idéal, but it exceeded my expectations! Nice lunch menu with ravioles, cailette, cheese and a glass of decent wine for a very good price (13,50). The grilled pork was also well prepared. Simple but pleasant shaded garden and friendly staff.
