Like previous reviewers this month we were looking forward to going to Le Clos St Martin as it has had new owners since Dec 2015 and we were hoping for a upgraded dining experience. ...Unfortunately I can only say we were so disappointed. The problems started when our group were asked to move from the bar area as other customers were expected. We sat down at the usual long French table. ..not at all conducive for a convivial evening....somewhat squashed if you happened to be sitting on the side near the windows. The restaurant is set in a beautiful old building in Coutens just 5 minutes drive west from Mirepoix. The set lunch menu is 15euro and there is also a vegetarian set menu and a la carte choices. There is no car park but it's easy to park along the side road and there are some spaces in a pull in on the main road too. Service is friendly and efficient with the owner offering my husband an option of chicken as he didn't want the fish for main course. I did have the fish which was haddock served on haricot beans in a coconut sauce and was delicious. This restaurant is amazing. It's on the main road from mirepoix in the midi Pyrenees and looks like a pretty auberge but when you eat there you find a Michelin star quality ! Fantastic food which cost about £25 a head for three courses and wine. Service immaculate, settting modern and welcoming and food to die for. We found no publicity about this - please visit to support the talented chef. It's only open Friday and Saturday for dinner but Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for lunch.

Went there for lunch, first time since the restaurant changed owners. We had the "menu du jour" which was fish as entrée and main course. Very tasty and well presented. Dessert fresh pineapple with cream. Great stuff. Coffee included. All that for €14. Wine was good (Dom. Le Fort) and the bread was excellent (Rieucros). We will be back..... Reserva una mesa ahora

Having eaten out around the area, we were delighted and very impressed after our lunch here. As a party of four, two appreciated the set menu and two selected from the carte. The set menu was great value for money, the flavours and the presentation were excellent, all enjoyed by a very reasonable priced wine.

This restaurant has recently changed hands, and we were pleasantly surprised. Delicious fish dishes as entree and main course. Good wine . Excellent service. Great deco And ambiance. 3 course menu at midday with wine for 18 euros.

This was my second visit to Le Clos, the food and service is great. The ambience and decor is also very nice. I can also highly recommend the weekday set lunch. Will definitely return again. Merci beaucoup.
