Le Coin de la Rue

Le Coin de la Rue is situated in the old town centre of Pleneuf, about a mile away from the hustle and bustle on the sea front and can make quite a pleasant change.It's not open every evening, so it's probably best to check beforehand and not just turn up. It is very small, but does have a reasonable amount of choice. The style of service is very relaxed, and the atmosphere is quite intimate which, in both cases, is the way we like it. We both had a three course meal with wine and coffee, the quality was good, and the cost was very reasonable. Certainly, if we are in the area again, we would be happy to make a return visit.

I find this restaurant delightful in many ways. The menu is very limited but quite good (the brandade de morue is very good.) The modern decor is very pleasant, as is the classical jazz music in the background. The service by the owners is very pleasant.In the evening, try to get a table along the window and take one of the comfortable armchairs facing toward the street. The view of the church all lit up will make your experience all the more enjoyable

The menu is limited as expected in a small place. The food was - OK but much clearly microwaved. (Going by the regularity of the pinger from the kitchen - much indeed) A cod pie - Ok but dull. Desserts - Ok. It's all - OK. Nothing more and not specially bon-marché either.

The place is tastefully decorated, the welcome is charming and always smiling while the small dishes of Stephanie are a real pleasure! To discover absolutely!

Just lovely food and good service. A very nice surprise as we had been meaning to try this restaurant for ages. What more is there to say other than that!
