I went here for lunch with my partner and 2 daughters (4 years old and 18 months). The manager and staff were unfriendly from the start nobody smiled and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Prior to ordering, I overheard the manager...made several disparaging comments about us to staff about how we were a nuisance and not going to spend a lot of money. He didn't realise that I can speak French. The food was not better than OK. We had mussels and the children shared a pizza. After dinner, my partner left just before I paid as our toddler was getting wriggly. As she left, clearly concentrating on our daughter, the manager said goodbye and got annoyed he didn't get an immediate response...
excellent patron and staff. with my husband slightly disabled they were very helpful. the food was superb. the menu was extensive and the set menu was excellent value. even though the restaurant was very busy with locals and tourists they had time to help us....parking was ok as it was on the sea front and there is lots of parking
Nous sommes retournés cette année au Colonial car nous y avions mangé l'an denier. Deux choses nous ont paru étrange mais pas dramatique : un seul verre à vin pas de verre à eau et pas de changement de couvert entre deux plats surtout si le plat de résistance est du poisson. Sinon rien a redire toujours aussi bon.
We visited Le Colonial on our way back from Noirmoutier with a group of 9. The restaurant was busy with a queue outside but the host managed to make up a large table for us. We had a lovely meal and it was great value...for all ages. Very friendly staff and nice clean restaurant...what more can you ask for!

Mis à part un accueil un peu froid au vue des 11 personnes que nous étions, nous avons passé un agréable moment. Les plats étaient tous très bien garnis et très bon. La serveuse très gentille.Vue sur la cuisine appréciable, sauf qd la patronne "Engueule" les employés, le client participe au spectacle.
rapport qualité /prix excellent. Merci pour l'accueil, la qualité des plats servis et la rapidité du service. Que ce soit en famille, ou avec des amis , nous passons tjrs un trés bon moment
Très bon accueil, bon rapport qualité-prix. Service rapide. Bon relationnel avec les clients. Chèques vacances acceptés en nombre illimité, ce qui est super quand on est nombreux !
Great spot on the front looking out to sea. We came as a family of two adults and two kids (9 7) and were treated really well. Try the 26 euro set menu it's really good value.
