AG restaurant in Les Halles was the best eating I had over my entire three night weekend break. I visited their St Germaine restaurant last year and recall being bowled over, so when I was looking for somewhere to have lunch on a Monday when many restaurants are closed, I immediately recalled that AG are open and inadvertently booked their Les Halles restaurant in error. Although, there was no mistake, far from it. From the moment I entered at midday earlier today, I was treated in a friendly, helpful and professional manner by the two waiters there.Oh, but the food. The food. Warm herbal bread rolls and a delightful amuse bouche opened up the taste buds nicely. My cod and black risotto dish...

Yes it's true this restaurant had it all in my opinion. Attentive service- Anyone who has traveled to Europe knows, service, while it allows you to enjoy the meal is not always what us impatient Americans like. The service was prompt without rushing. Also, the knowledge of wine/ food pairings was spot on.Pricing- We chose a standard three course meal priced at 39Euro. If we were charged 20 Euro more I would have still said it was a great value. Wines were also reasonably priced tooFood- Fun presentation and quality. The pictures on the website aren't for show, the food really does arrive at your table looking that great. Perfect spot for a date night in an area that can be crowded with touri...

This is still a recent restaurant and perhaps things will improve. I really hope so. I will admit that the concept is great and the decoration amazing. It feels cozy inside and it is a pleasure for the eyes. However, I was expecting more from the kitchen. Portions are not even and in my case the steak (which was a beautiful piece of meat) was overcooked - ruined! The staff tries to assist you well but it gets ridiculous the amount of times they ask you if everything is okay. Also the service took a bit too long. The price was a bit high and for the quality of the meal and that was a big disappointment.

Very nice retro-modern decor. Room between the tables (rare in Paris) that allows some privacy. The 55 euros "degustation menu" is a bargain. The food is inventive and very executed. Beautiful plates (including the plate itself). The service is kind and friendly but slightly below what you could expect compared to the quality of the food. The second dessert -variation around the buche- was not up to par, but overall a great experience. It's really worth the 135 euros we paid for two (with 2 glasses of wine and water).

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday during a short stay in Paris. We went for the tasting menu which I would highly recommend. Every course tasted amazing and there was clearly so much care taken over the presentation. We also opted for the wine pairing which was matched perfectly. Aside from the amazing food the real stand out was the service, especially from the Restaurant Manager, who really looked after us. We both came away feeling that it was one of the best meals we have ever had.

The food is top notch and is culinary in every aspect. We had 3 entrees: the cecina ham, oeuf mollet, and gravlax. All were very good. The fish main was excellent, and the "chocolat au lait" dessert was just awesome. We also had very good sancerre white wine.(We also had 3 amuse bouche becore the appetizer and a financier after dessert and all were good).Total: 102 euros. Probably the best price/quality ratio i've had in Paris.

Les Halles is a nightmare for tourists as far as getting around. It was pouring rain and I got lost. The guys at AG took one look at a rain soaked Aussie and said 'you need a glass of wine sir and quickly!'I had a terrific Chorey Les Beaune and life improved. The food was very good and the manager escorted me to Rue Etienne Marcel where I could catch a taxi easily at the end of a very good meal.Highly recommend!

I were recommended by 'The fork' application and it is surprisingly that it is better than the price. Tasting menu is some kind of French food combine with Japanese taste. The decoration of food is fantastic. Service is good. Love everything here. I had a good night here!

This was a really enjoyable meal that delivered on all accounts. The premises are nice, the staff friendly and helpful (as well as highly proficient in English). The food tastes as good as it looks, which is saying something. Highly recommended!
