Le Comptoir Des Allees

Arrived in Hendaye mid day expecting a nice afternoon at the beach. It was mid August but unfortunately the weather was more like a November day in Ireland !! We spent some time searching online for a restaurant for the evening, and luckily, thanks partly to the Tripadvisor reviews we found the wittily named L 'Apostrophe. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant 's fabulous, reasonably priced menu and extensive wine list. The four of us agreed that the food was 'fine dining ' standard and quality. Presentation of the dishes was elegant, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highlights of the meal were the beautifully presented foie gras and confit duck starter and the main course of superbly cooked turbot. Do try this restaurant when in Hendaye top class.

One of the best family friendly restaurant in Hendaye. The tuna was amazing, same for the beef. I like to eat in Michelin stars restaurants for the quality of the ingrédients and the presentation of the plates. Here we are probably at the border of a one star if they had a menu dégustation. Highly recommended.

We ran into this great restaurant, and it was really a chance. menus, wines, digestives everything was perfect. friendly and smiling staff. an address to advise without hesitation

Fresh, bio, reasonable price. Would be great if a vegetarian/vegan option was on the menu.
