The new owners, who also run the Pianothe Crêperie across the square, have mostly continued the spirit of the vegetarian kitchen but added steaks, burgers and fries. “That’s what people want”, we were told. The food hasn’t suffered and everything is fresh and, depending on your choice, healthy. There were a few teething problems with the service and things were running slow, but who really cares about such things when situated at a sunny spot in a gorgeous medieval town. Gentle break in every direction, starting with the hostess, a charming, adorable, attentive, and very professional young woman. The quality of the products, local and artisanal, and the service...here, there is no doubt, we respect people. The place is a setting within a setting, a small place in a very gentle and light current of refreshing and soothing air, under the shade of a green oak spreading its beneficial branches, an invitation to daydream, to relax.. . to the sweetness of life in Lot et Garonnaise, in high season or out of season..don't pass by without stopping.
In town for the jazz festival in the end we were delighted to be moved on from our aperitif spot, as otherwise we wouldn't have found this place!Despite the mad rush for tables between acts the staff were charming, the food arrived promptly and it was really nice. Prices are also very reasonable - about 12€ for an oven cooked dish with side salad and cheese & ham apero on the side.The menu has something for everyone, including a vegetarian option, and the beers were cold; couldn't have asked for more and we were delighted with the experience.
A choice without conviction at first considering the facade. Very nice surprise: very warm welcome: we were informed that they were expecting 28 people and that we had generally 1 hour for dinner. The decor is pleasant without being overloaded, the staff is attentive and responds perfectly to requests. The food is excellent (with a touch of originality: Sichuan pepper ice cream with a steak) for a very reasonable price. What more ? Thank you for this pleasant evening!

Lots of kindness and an adorable setting! The welcome and service is provided by a young woman who is attentive to her customers and shows great professionalism. The dishes offered are simple but excellent! Have an aperitif with an excellent fuet that you choose dry or very dry. Grab a local pâté with several varieties. Simple and fancy place in a medieval and pretty village. So nice to have a drink in the inside warm atmosphere after work or on the sunday with the local weekly market. With the sunshine, the terrasse is lovely. The staff, english speaker, is very dynamic and helpful especially in the summer season ! So, trust me, you should go to taste good wine and delicatessen.
Thanks to Sandrine and her team for her welcome. We were a table of 13 people and the service was very good, the dishes very good and fresh. An excellent value for money.
