On Monday of the Thanksgiving weekend we went to the diner with friends. At the beginning the dining room was not fully occupied, but they had to find a table for our party of four. It felt like we were unexpected and our arrival was disturbing their routine of things. Overall, the service was minimal, and so the food proportions were. The supplements were ridiculously small. My smoked meeting sandwich was served with more bread than meeting, with about a slotted quarter of a dill torch and a small piece of Coleslaw. I am a TOP contributor and you will find all of my reviews fair and factual. It saddens me to say that this used to be one of my favorite places in Beloeil for dinner with my customers. I know that EVERY restaurant can have...a bad day or two, so in the last 6 months I have given them three tries, and all three were strike-outs. The servers, the quality of the food and the timeliness and attention to detail have been on a steady decline for about 1 year. My last experience was with reservation, party of 8, a business dinner. The server was polite, but had too many tables to handle, and the kitchen was overwhelmed on a VERY light dining room load. Our experience this night included 6 of the 8...
Went on a weekend evening. Street parking in the neighboring streets is not easy to find but not impossible either. There was plenty of tables when we arrived. Our waitress was friendly and our orders were taken promptly. I had the fish and chips which...was okay. 3 reasonably-sized pieces of fish that tasted good. I also found in the plate a piece of fried seafood (crab? , mushroom and red pepper. I found it was an odd addition but nothing wrong either. Overall it was a quite uneventful supper. The food was good and the prices were in range of what I would expect. Would recommend if you are around and looking for Canadian food.
This restaurant is just called Le côte . The food and service were very good. The shares were also satisfactory, but the prices were somewhat high. We had bought a 5 service plan on a website, so the price was lower than... we paid in the restaurant. Although we ate well, the decisions of the plan were very limited. The chairs were also not so comfortable, they were too soft and we had the presence of a wooden rod under the legs. Arrival early to find a parking lot near the restaurant.
At the first approach, we recognise that parking is a problem, as only available on road parking. With all restaurants in the area there is a lot of competition for the few parking spaces. Steaks were good, but not great yet grandiose. Service was good. Prices too high for what we received. Crème...Brûlée for Dessert was not a real crème, but a kind of pudding. I think that's a lot lately.
