We first found this place by chance - looking for lunch on the way up to Calais, and roadworks in Rouen threw us 'off piste'. And by chance, just outside Rouen, just off the motorway, the small village of Isneauville surprised us with this fabulous eatery.Second time round, our visit was planned. We were not disappointed. Welcomed by the daughter of Madam, who does the cooking, we explained that was our second visit. Menu like last time - you get to choose between the 'gourmet' menu and the 'ordinary' one. But ordinary is not adequate to describe it! Set menu ( ordinary) gives you three courses for 13,90E. Upmarket one was 17,90. But you can swing between the two as each course is priced sep...
We found this entirely by complete chance, looking for another! It does not look great from the outside, in between 2 others, but the interior is lovely, with the walls lined with old books and pictures and photos from the 1930s. Unusual in style , small in size, but welcoming and charming. We loved it.It is very handy from the motorway, near to Rouen, so for us ideal and half way through our journey. Lovely place to go to in what seems to us to a bleak area of restaurants easy to get to outside the city.The menu du jour was good and well cooked. Good value and we were very well looked after. I Look forward to going back there again
This has to be the third time we've eaten at this little restaurant. It is perfectly located, just off the motorway north of Rouen. Saves you having to try to park and choose a restaurant in the city. And once again, we had a fabulous lunch. Starters were salmon terrine (him), and quail terrine (me). Followed by trout with almonds. Lightly fried, then scattered with toasted almonds. Basted with Buttery and lemony juice , and served with freshly cooked veg and rice . Utterly delicious. And the price was also reasonable. Can really recommend.
D'un très bon rapport qualité prix, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.....accueil chaleureux par la gérante vous y serez comme à la maison. Petit apéritif sympa dans un douillet fauteuil à côté de la cheminée.....Le seul soucis c'est qu'on y prend très vite gout. La nourriture est d'excellente qualité.....raffinée et très bien assaisonnée.

From a very good quality price, you can go the eyes closed... warm welcome by the manager you will be there as at home. Small pleasant aperitif in a comfortable chair next to the fireplace... The only problem is that we take it very quickly. The food is of excellent quality... refined and very well seasoned.
The room makes an antique shop from which a dusty impression. There was nothing open. a report quality bad price. I looked for the salmon in the middle of the tagliatella.
