Le Cro Magnon - Reserva de mesa

We had a great time here with a big group of friends during our ski trip to the snow. Most ordered a fondue savoyarde or bourguignonne. My husband and I tried some of their delicious dishes with a cheese cooked in the oven, accompanied by charcuterie, salad and potatoes. Yum! Very abordable prices too and their myrtille tart is delicious if u still have room for dessert! Service was impeccable. And theres a great view on the whole station of Orcières too! NB there is a nice steep flight of stairs to get to the restaurant...but it’s worth it!

This place is just amazing! We went for a dinner in a group of 13 people where 12 were non french speakers and I was the only one who could translate. Charlotte, the waitress was amazing, patient and very helpful. We had all we wanted, on time and delicious (we tried raclette, duck, beef, snails, scallops, desserts.) and we really cannot complain. The atmospehre, view on the station and very warm and welcoming people in the restaurant make it the best experience I had in very long time! Thank you :)

This restaurant is one of the best in the area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. A big fireplace and a mountainous decoration made a great atmosphere. A perfect view becausee it is on top of the mountain. Good food, authentic taste of fondue and grilled entrecote on open fire. Accompanied with some good wines, a perfect Christmas dinner. We both had a lovely baked egg cocotte with foie gras my wife had the scallops main course while I had a well presented cooked steak. As is typical in such a French small town restaurant there were quite a few small children. You do need to book here as it was full when we arrived at around 8 only later did some walk ins arrive.

Food is great! Had the raclette and was absolutely stuffed!! Downsides are its super cramped... the chairs are made for children... and we had a group of idiots next to us and the waitress did nothing about it even though they were annoying the whole restaurant.

The spot, the view, the food, what else ? If you stay in Orcieres during the summer, don't miss it. If you go there in the winter, it's a must go. Un endroit à ne pas manquer.
