Every sunday Le Divin offers oysters, prawns, mussels and whelks on a platter. The bar is situated on the main ring road around St Remy - not very quiet because of the cars but a good atmosphere. This is how it works - you can order what you want and each items costs 1€ however sometimes they offer 6 mussels for 4€. You get fresh bread, butter and home made garlic mayo. The first time we went we ordered 18 prawns and 9 oysters and a couple of glasses of wine. It wasn't until we left that i realised we had been charged 1.50€ per prawn... We returned again about 10 days ago and thinking that i had maybe misunderstood the pricing structure i asked Carole (who this time recognised us and introduced herself) to clarify it was 1€ per item and she confirmed it was... There were 4 of us and we ordered 50 prawns (based on the fact they were quite small last time) and 10 oysters. Carole had to check they had enough prawns - there were... A nice light meal on a Sunday lunchtime then the bill came... we had again been charged 1.50€ per prawn so instead of being charged 50€ for the prawns we were charged 75€ - because they were 'bigger' yet we got charged the same price last time for smaller prawns which I mentioned to Carole! You can't tell people the price is one thing then charge them something else without discussing it before bringing the food. I don't have a problem being charged more if we were told about it when we ordered but i specifically asked what the pricing structure was because of what happened last time and there was no mention of 1.50€ per prawn when we ordered. We were ripped off which is a shame because we love oysters and prawns and its a nice place to sit on a sunday afternoon. Highly unlikely we will go back there because of this... Just be aware when ordering that you ask them to make if VERY clear how much you are going to be charged...!
