That's what it looks like from the street. Plus the name "Golden Dragon" makes it seem like another one of those stereotypical little Chinese restaurants in a little town. We do not go to a lot of Asian restaurants, but this was one of the best I have been to in quite a while. The owners are a very pleasant Vietnamese family, and it has been there about thirty years. It is very nicely decorated and has an extensive menu. There is a mid day three course meal for 13 euro, plus four pages of soups, salads, appetizers and entrees. The even prepare frog's legs Five different ways. A special treat was the complimentary glass of sake after the meal. We shall definitely return soon.
The interior is really chinese. There are 2 rooms and lots of chinese stuff like pictures and figures etc. Huge acquarium with fish as well.The menu selection is huge, like in most chinese restaurants, and again very typoical chinese dishes.The food is fair, nothing really special, but the Nems are very good (Spring rolls). We have tried several dishes and everything has so far been fine.Prices are very very reasonable.And the service is fine. Also it is possible to order for pick up and take home.
good place to go when they are tired of the baguettes and french cheese: the menu is extensive with all classic Chinese dishes. no real taste bomb, everything is sweetened to match the European taste buds. the interior is somewhat old-fashioned and could. do with a makeover. service is bland not unfriendly, but somehow tired . as said, it is the best Chinese restaurant in lorgues (there is only 1 I appreciate and yes, I would recommend you to go there (once . but don't expect too much.
