Don't be put off by the slightly dingy decor. We loved the ambiance in Le Ferrare, Full of locals, some having a quick "plat", what looked to be a group from an office doing a full lunch, total French atmosphere. This is not aspirational haute cuisine it's a down to earth, honest cooking establishment providing good value to it's customers. And the food - wonderful. Simple, unpretentious and very, very good. We both had the plat du jour - sauté de veau with tagliatelle and a bit of salad. Really rich gravy to dunk the fresh bread in and wipe the plate. A couple of dabs of paprika to add a bit of piquancy. Magic. Then a warm apricot tart with a salted caramel ice-cream. The only negative being that it I think had been warmed in the microwave so the pastry was a bit soggy. The wines by the glass were superb - my wife had Bordeaux, I had Brouilly. A carafe of water added to the lubrication as did the excellent coffee. Service was friendly although a bit slow at the end. On a cold day we left La Ferrere feeling warm and very well fed.
Pris le plat du jour, une bavette et ses pommes sautées.Viandes, sauce, légumes, tout super bon et maison !Mon amie avait opté pour l'omelette (gargantuesque) au brie et je n'ai même pas pu léché l'assiette ^^Accueil très sympathique et très gentil de nous avoir reçus tardivement vers 13h45 alors qu'il n'y a pas de second service...
Ho prenotato seguendo il giudizio di Tripadvisor e non mi sono accorto che era basato su poche recensioni. Il locale era pressochè deserto e quindi abbiamo immaginato il peggio, ma tutto considerato abbiamo mangiato bene, cucina casalinga senza pretese ma con ingredienti di qualità, prezzo il giusto.
