A small restaurant tuvked away along a small alley. Ground floor and terrasse was very lively with mostly locals having drinks, meals and dancing in the night. But don't let this fool you, the kitchen has very good quality. Gastronomic meat snd fish dishes and very knowledgeable staff who could explained where each item came from, including local wines, as they seem to spend a lot of attention on visiting local producers, tasting the products, before having them on the menu. One of our guest was vegeterian and despite no such option on the menu, they were actually happy to make something and that dish had nothing to envy with the other main course. Well done! Good ambience too.

We liked Le figuier so much that we dined here twice during our four-day stay in Perpignan. The food was very tasty, with large portions. The star dishes of our visits were the veal rib and the pork rib. They have a nice wine list of mostly local wines. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. The service was quite good. One of the waiters had excellent English and was very helpful. In the nice weather during our visit we ate outside on a pleasant little square. The restaurant is a five minute walk from the historic center in the direction of the cathedral, and most of its patrons were locals who were enjoying themselves.
Before travelling to Perpignan we looked for inspiration on TripAdvisor for good places to eat & this place appealed. Once we arrived at our hotel, we inquired whereabouts it was in relation to where we were staying. The receptionist booked us in that evening. We wandered a short way down cobbled lanes to a lovely quant building & dined al fresco amongst olive trees. The owner (I assume) was very helpful & helped us with our choices of food. The food was delicious & the locally produced white wine was a dream. We had a wonderful evening & will return again. Highly recommended
We came across this gem down a side street in the historic quarter of Perpignan while visiting the Visa image exhibitions. We were greeted with friendly, efficient service in this shady courtyard. The daily tapas menu offered a good selection with interesting options. We especially enjoyed the jambon, noix St Jacques and the delicious creme catalan, with Catalunyan beer and local rosé that added to the perfect lunchtime ambience. It was a perfect Sunday lunch stop while exploring Perpignan and on another visit we'd like to try it in the evening. Reserva una mesa ahora
We a family of four stumbled across this restaurant during the very busy Visa image week, the place was bussing but the reception was welcoming. Sitting in its shady square was lovely as it was a very hot day. Good variety of choices to suit all budgets on the menu, we went for tapas starters which were all excellent and shared main courses all good. Cafe gromand very good too as where the other dessets. Excellent local wine too.
While visiting Perpignan for the annual Visa pour l'Image photo festival, we've sampled many of the town's resturants. But Le Fig is the one we keep going back to. The setting - under fig trees up a small side street, away from the crowds - is an oasis of tranquillity. Service is enthusiastic and efficient. And the food is consistently excellent. I'm assured they have a good wine list too, though that's not my area of expertise.
We have often eaten lunch here, and find the food consistently good, but the setting evenmore so! Its very busy in the height of the season, so booking is essential. Only negative being the very basic toilet facilities.
This restaurant is tucked away in its own 'Place' with extensive outdoor seating. Lots of atmosphere and frequented by locals. Tapas are a speciality and we have always enjoyed their fish dishes. Reserva una mesa ahora
