"I have never eaten there, but get their cheese, parma ham, and bread when we are short. The people there are charming and the burrata that they have is the best- I can say better than any I was able to get in Ventimille or San Remo!"

This is very much a shop with a few tables outside to eat your wares bought inside! We had a simple cheese and tomato sandwich on a french stick, followed by a punnet of fresh raspberries. Simple and delicious. We of course sampled a couple of glasses of the local wine as well. Everything is locally produced or grown. Well worth calling in for a simple, local taste. Several people were having the local tasting plates, with cheeses, choriso type meats and olives etc. The setting and ambiance were excellent.

We were there around lunch time. We had plate of cheese and meat. There were several types of cheese: cow cheese 24 months old, cow cheese with truffles, goat cheese, sheep cheese and cottage cheese (it came earlier that day from the farm). There were fois de gras, prosciutto and some special salami. Everything was excellent, the plate is big so you will be full, no doubt. The owner was very friendly, explained everything to us. You can buy cheese and meat there (the ones you ate and many more).

Le fromager is not exactly a restaurant, I would say it's a deli or cheese and wine shop that offers some sandwiches or appetizers with all the delicious products of southern France. They have a few tables on a lovely porch. If you are in this mood, sit down and rest a bit, looking at the good movement of this charming village. The service is fine, the owners who are running the business may be a bit more friendly or maybe more warm.

We took a break from a visit to St. Paul de Vence to enjoy a plate of charcuterie, some foie gras, and a selection of cheeses on their delightful patio. Everything was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. Can't recommend this highly enough.
