We wanted to buy wine at the coop in Irouleguy but being France it was (of course) closed for lunch from noon to 2pm, so we found the Fronton Brassiere in St Etienne de Baigorry for lunch. My husband had the plate du jour with soup. The veg soup was excellent and roast pork beans just ok. I had the Baigorri Salad of greens and it was great; pickled asparagus and peppers, jambon, walnuts, honey and goat cheese. They cleverly folded the herbed goat cheese in a crepe and heated it, then placed it on top of the salad then dressed it with honey. A great idea, and I will try that at home.
