Le Gourmet - Reservar una mesa

On my last night in France, went out with friends for dinner and found this chic gourmet restaurant. I was certainly not expecting something that pleasing, we have been nicely welcomed by the Maitre D', passed through the main dinning room and we ended up in a beautifully set garden set. The menu is not large but offers a good selection of courses that will delight most of the palate, the wine list is very large with options to select Grands Crus by the glass, the staff is well attention and very polite, which was a surprise considering the other experiences we had in the neighborhood. Some plus some minus for example the location is fantastic especially if you get a table near the veranda.Inside decoration is elegant .The food is good.Nothing to brag about but correct. Prices are relatively high The wine list is fine with affordable selected bottles ' The desert : Baba au rhum was not eatable.One of the worst I had.The so=called rhum agricole (St.James) did not help. Amazingly enough they do not accept American express credit card which is incredible for a restaurant which claims to be one of the best in this area

How to describe such a wonderful experience? From the welcome until the au revoir everything is perfect in Le Gourmet. The tables are well spaced and other diners are easily forgotten. The food is exceptional and extremely reasonably priced. The menu is varied and changes frequently but standards are maintained in everything presented. The wine is good value also but you can spend more if desired. The staff are professional, polite and friendly. If I lived nearby it would be a regular treat.

We were 4 people for dinner. This of high quality , well cooked with some originality. Good wines. Smart service. Absolute need for booking as it is always full especially on saturday evening ...Seems that there is a nice terasse, but it wasn't the right season for us...

They serve traditional good french cuisine. Restaurant was totally fully on a Tuesday evening so book in advance. I found the prices rather high >40euros for main course but the quality is also good. Interior did not work super well for me a bit old fashioned.
