Le Grand Jardin - Reserva de mesa

We stopped at Le Grand Jardin after a long hike in the Jura mountains on a very busy Easter Sunday around 2 pm. We just wanted to have dessert there and were just told a little bit further away that we could not be seated inside. We saw Le Grand Jardin and took our chances there. The dining room was full of seemingly very happy customers but the waitress pointed out a small free table. We really appreciated her willingness to help and friendliness, specially during this extremely busy time. We had tea and a home made lemon pie. The lemon pie was excellent. Not too sweet and very tasty with bergamot flavours. I would recommend Le Grand Jardin without reservation.

It has taken a couple of visits to Baume les Messieurs to finally have lunch at this appealing restaurant and we had to book to get a table inside. The menu offered a number of good choices and can be viewed in their website. Our choices were excellent, particularly the 'salad repas Grand Jardin' , €22, which was a meal in itself. The menu du terroir , €26, was also very good and filling. Service was excellent and friendly. The decor inside is charming and appropriate to a good restaurant in this part of France. Altogether our lunch was great and we had a really pleasant experience in all respects.

A Sunday evening meal was one of the highlights of a long weekend spent in Baume Les Messieurs. A seat seat outside on a pleasant evening with excellent food is difficult to pass up. I have to say I am not a big fan of...the Jura wines but the combination of the food, wine and service was excellent. I had fois gras, chicken and a wicked vodka ice cream. Not the sort of evening I was expecting in this small isolated village so it was a very pleasant surprise. I have to say though that it was not cheap.

When I booked the trip to Baume les Messieurs I thought it is going to be a trip "in the middle of nowhere " without traces of civilisation . However, I had dinner in Le Grand Jardin and I was amazingly surprised: French cuisine as it's best! So words are useless in this case: just pass by and enjoy!

We had a lovely meal here last week. The restaurant is a pretty little room in the charming village of Baume. We were well looked after and the atmosphere was great. Our starters, mains and desserts were all yummy. I’ve uploaded photos of each.

This Restaurant, in the middle of the historic district and across from the entrance to the former Abbey, has an excellent menu and wine list, and the preparation is very careful. In the summer, both outdoor and indoor dining are available.

This restaurant, although full, does not attract the crowds it would if it had a real terrace. Lucky customers who eat there anyway. The chef has chosen excellent ingredients, cooked them perfectly. We loved our lunch there. Reserva una mesa ahora

The meal had very delicate tastes. The service was nice. The cafe gourmand was excellent . The atmosphere is rural but you still feel the france style.

It was just milk and a spoon of chocolate powder! Besides that not enough hot...bad experience. The service also was so unpersonal
