Found this great little restaurant in the bottom of a valley ,there was actually three restaurants next to each other .They could all be as good as this one but we had a great family meal ,my wife and I shared a fondue but others had pizzas which looked equally as good.It wasn't expensive by ski resort standards the service was good and came with a smile which you don't always get and looked like a family affair .To be recommended as after your meal you have a choice of pistes all of which are great.
I have visited this restaurant many times over the years, including last week and it remains one of the very best. You pay on ordering which is simple and fast and then sit on the South facing terrace or inside the cosy restaurant. The menu is quite extensive for a mountain restaurant although the pizza's are hard to resist. Arrive early because it gets very busy. A further bonus is that there are three chair lifts on the doorstep.
What a great spot which is in full sun and the junction of the lifts. Lovely mountain restaurant. No-fuss order at the kiosk and good quality food delivered rapidly. Reasonable prices and more than happy to give you a pitcher of tap water with your meal. Indoors looks cosy too, but why eat indoors when it is sunny in the mountains !
One of our favourite lunch stops heading back to Morzine from Les Gets. Always have croquet monsieur or madame with frites, although I always think the pizza looks good and wish I'd had one!Speedy and friendly service, and spent far too long sitting in the comfy chairs in the sun after lunch!

Some moutnain restaurants are expensive and have terirble food. The Grand Pré is fabulous. Great food, excellent value and very hapy and friendly service despite the mad rush at lunch times. And what a wonderful place to catch the sun and watch the world...ski by. Massively recommend.

4 of us had coffee here during skiing the personal was really friendly. we had no food, but the menu looked very extensive. it is directly between 3 lifts in a bowl great place to stop.
we have stopped here twice for lunch and the pizzas are absolutely on the place. lady who takes the food order is very friendly and beautiful. definitely recommend.

This is a great little cafe / bar / restaurant in the Troncs bowl which has a good selection of food & drinks. The large decking area captures the sun very well
I find this place hard to happen every time in the opposite. basic but excellent quality and have no idea how the kitchen is so efficient.
