We have visited this restaurant many times both before its refurbishment and since. I do not think that we have ever been disappointed by either our meal or the exceptional service. Efficient, caring and friendly. The prices have not been hiked to pay for the refurbishment, which has been extensive. It has now been reduced in size and the décor is chic. This has also allowed for a 'salon ' for private functions. The food is always freshly cooked and attractively served. The wines are excellent in both quality and price. Someone wrote last year that this restaurant was closed. It always has been on a Saturday night. Thank heavens is it not 'closed ' as we have been visiting for years travelling with our MotorHome to Cambrai. Olivier Gaulupeau and his marvellous staff keep us coming back, A fantastic little walk for anyone camping at the 'trois cloches ' site so, instead of dining at the Buffalo Grill outside the camp site walk up to Aldi/Lidll and then through their car park to cross the main road which will bring you to the Canal before crossing the bridge. Warm welcome, meals are good enough copyy Not much bread in the basket we had to ask the monk 3 times to have bread unfortunately not much choice in the card We arrived, we had to wait for a moment to have the apéro between the apéro and the entrance there was a little more than 1 hour waiting a little too long for us Yet we arrived at the same time as a table next to, this one had the aperitif at the same time as we, they have chained to the entrance, then the dish and dessert when they received our dessert we just had to finish

The service was extremely long, we arrived at 12:30 and left at 15:30. The kitchen was good but little choice. The composition of the dishes is not known either because the menu is not detailed (example: for the goat salad, it is not indicated that there are nuts, the duo of purée, you do not know what they are etc). We wondered about the place as the website wasn't functioning correctly; made the decision to go anyway and are so glad we did! The food was wonderful with so much thought to the pairings and the presentation. You can't really go wrong. We had the fixed price. 3 course meal and couldn't be happier!
