Le Hott - Reservar una mesa

I 've stopped here 3 times over the last 2 years and each time I was left feeling that that I was in their way. The last time I visited in August this year I was looking for some food at 1030am and was informed very sneeringly that in France we don 't eat until lunchtime . When I visited in July I asked for an espresso and some of the very nice looking fruit tart. I was then offered the scrappy bit of tart from the display rather than the nice fresh looking tart sitting behind it. When I pointed this out very politely I was sneered at. I 've come to the conclusion that Brits are not wanted in there and I will go to the very friendly restaurant just down the road from it instead.

The restaurant is located above the lake, great view from the terrasse. Friendly service from the young couple who own the place. The food is traditional, set menus are reasonably priced for the area. The Beaufort crème brulee with ham was great and tasty. The goat cheese salad plentifyl. The diots (local sausages) with polenta of my neighbours looked great. the cote de porc savoyarde just fabulous. Portions are of good size. cheeses are from the farm below and the tarts and cakes homemade. A place to stop when visiting the Cold du Mont Cenis
