Located at the entrance to the medieval city, the Lion d’Or is an establishment that I recommend for your stay in Rocamadour! The staff is friendly, especially on the restaurant side. Compared to the hotel: comfortable and clean room, dated decor but it doesn't kill the eyes either. I think you have to ask for wifi ?, I didn't need it so I don't know . If you are lucky, the room may have a magnificent view of the valley and the city! The only downside is the soundproofing, the walls are quite thin and I imagine that this becomes disturbing during the high tourist season. By way to visit this magical place, we went to lunch without reservation. Very good reception, good presentation of plates, interesting menu and good cuisine. A tip, a little less garlic in the tartiflette would be more appreciable and a little expensive for the dish alone, however, I understand it in view of the frame. But otherwise perfect service! In addition, this restaurant is based much more in the theme of the village compared to the most present, on the one hand, by the decor, the clear spirit and the products offered. For this I offer you a 4-star deserved!

Sommes went to the restaurant, arrived at noon -10, agreed that we could warm up for a few moments before noon. Unlike the lower restaurant that refused to settle on the terrace a few minutes to rest before lunch. Finally very good meal, excellent roast camembert, hearty and good meals. One of the few restaurants opened in November in Rocamadour. Very classic, but good and quickly served. We still have the feeling of being a little in a tourist factory. There is a beautiful view from the restaurant room.
