J'espère vraiment que l'atmosphère classique (grands rideaux drapés, cache-radiateurs, hauts soubassements lambrissés de tissu, chaises à la Louis XIII,...) qui fait le charme de l'endroit ne sera pas trop modifiée. L'accueil et le service, dans ce même style classique, ne changeront certainement pas, et c'est tant mieux. Nous avions choisi, l'un le menu à 29,50, car il comportait un steak de thon, et l'autre, plutôt celui à 39 euro, car les intitulés de ce dernier étaient particulièrement alléchants (par exemple, croustillant de homard, fagotins de saumon fumé et coqu...
This restaurant is unusual as it is state funded with the objective of helping disadvantaged people into work. The Maitre D' has been there many years and is a real pro, training his charges as it goes along without any deterioration in service or the...food. We were 5 for lunch (the youngest only 2 years old). We ate on the terrace in good shade on a very hot sunny day. The 3 course menu at lunchtime is fixed except for the main course where there is a choice from 2 options. Habitant la région, j'y vais régulièrement depuis des années, sans que la qualité des plats et du service fléchissent, même hors saison touristique, même en semaine.Service charmant et attentif, excellente cuisine, raffinée et légère du début jusqu'à la fin, carte des vins très bien sélectionnée. Le rapport qualité/prix est absolument étonnant. Une perle, perdue dans la campagne deux-sévrienne !Deux conseils : pensez à réserver, et surtout, faites-vous présenter le "menu découverte".( Seul minuscule bémol : le soir, les tables ne sont pas suffisamment éclairées alors que le contenu des assiettes est aussi beau que bon... c'est grand dommage !)
This is the second time we have eaten here and it was excellent both times. It advertises as Gourmet' and it certainly lives up to that. You are greeted at the door by staff and the Maitre'd. service is very good, not rushed. The food...is both beautiful to look at and taste. Great wine menu. Booking is essential, we have found. We were celebrating my birthday and the Maitre'D heard my husband mention it. When my dessert arrived, it had a candle in it, so thoughtful. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

It's delicious with rare flavors. Fortunately, the plates are less copier: we were dating more than repus ... now we go hungry, but without having to open the belt sighing. from the entrance to the dessert: fine discoveries. Bravo, keep going.
We had not come for a while. It was good but refinement is no longer the same, nor service. It remains unbeatable in terms of quality/price ratio, but it is no longer the quality if it was a few years ago when it was incredible!

food and service are fantastic. The chief took care of my wife by preparing her a special entrance because she is vegetarian. beautiful high-level decoration. We look forward to our next visit.

Great place, a French service, the staff are at small care, a fresh kitchen, with very good ingredients, ratio/quality/price/nothing to say top,I recommend without worries.
We are delighted, the dishes are refined, excellent. We'll be back with pleasure.
