Our first visit although we have been many times to their restaurant in the centre of Angouleme. Bascially, it's a wood fire grill restaurant. We had tender faux filet steaks with double fried chips and salad, plus a cafe gourmand for one of us and a creamy panacotta for the other. Lots of shaded parking which is a real plus on a hot day. This isn't a fancy, smart restaurant but does what it says on the lid.
Excellent kitchen! a fast service despite a complete restaurant room. As for the waitress, bravo, she is all smile to each of our passages in this establishment, very kind and very professional. very rare of today!!! congratulations!
Two visits in two weeks and not disappointed with any course. Tge Eggs en cocotte starter is out of this world. Lamb chops, burger and beef carpaccio all amazing. Save some space for cafe gourmand! Back again this week!
