Le Martray - Reservar una mesa

Although the cycle path seemed very busy and the outdoor snack bar we had noticed the previous day was closed the hotel restaurant was open for business and surprisingly quiet. We selected the set menu and started with oysters, of course. Well prepared and nicely presented on a bed of sea salt they were a tasty starter. For mains we had dorade which was very good and moules which were small and a little over cooked. The frites to accompany the moules were a little under done and a bit greasy. Local rose to accompany them on a nice sunny afternoon.

Stopped by with friends for a light lunch while out cycling. Received a very warm welcome and were seated in the delightful courtyard. The food was fresh, home produced and delicious. Le Martray has gone straight on our list of must visits for Ars en Ré

We had a superb lunch here with our 3 and 5 year olds. The staff spoke perfect English (even though we tried our best French! and we had a lovely swim in the sea at the gorgeous quiet beach just across the road from it.

Came last night for dinner, they gave us a reservation despite already being very busy. Loved the sword fish and the razor clams. Friendly service, good wine choices. Merci!

Excellent food, excellent service excellent wine what more needs to be said. Well worth driving or cycling too and great way to have a lazy Sunday lunch
