"Food in restaurant and experience was very good. We stayed overnight at the same place, and there both of the showers (we had 2 rooms) were broken, no fridge (so no own champagne tasting, no minibar), no wifi"

Together with friends and colleagues we have visited the Champagne region during the weekend of September 30 - October 2nd 2016. We staid at the hotel that is situated accross this restaurant and is owned by the restaurant owner. The restaurant is situated at the edge of the Mezy-Moulin village and has its own parking area.It is nicely decorated and is not packed with tables. The menu is well balanced and guests can either eat “Alla Carte” or choose 1 of the 3 menu’s which contain most of the alla carte dishes. The wine menu is substantia and has Champagnes from the direct area and wines from the largest regions of France. A good choice is easely made to your liking. Despite the fact that thi...
Lovely lunch outdoors on the terrace with a very peaceful and romantic ambiance; there is a river just next to the patio with the woods behind and has been probably the most beautiful sunset I have seen in France! The seating in the restaurant has beautiful architecture and very unique an lots of windows so you feel outdoors even then! Now the food... wow incredible, very fresh and I love the maison Foie gras it melts in your mouth and is always seasoned and accompanied with ingredients of the season. And I always look forward to ordering it to see how they creatively serve it! But that’s just one example the menu has plenty french dishes such as ris de veau and fresh fish which is always de...
We were staying in a local B&B and our hosts told us of two restaurants nearby, one was a Michelin Star and the other Michelin Star in waiting. We decided on the latter, Moulin Babet. They B&B owner booked a table and informed the restaurant that my husband was a vegetarian. The restaurant said it wasn't a problem. The service was excellent and the waiter asked my husband if he ate eggs and cheese. As he does we thought everything would be good. We were served our wine and water followed by canapés and within 1/2 hour our main meal was served. Now what did this highly experienced chef prepare for my husband? A cheese salad! Why are the French so unimaginative?3 out of 10 for food, 8 out of 1...
in a great landscape, nicely restored and looking very romantic this mill has everything to be a great place. Inside however less romantic and a bit too cool to fit the building.Though the place was only half filled, the waiter was acting extremely nervous and rushing around as if they expected a bus to arrive...The food was well taken care off and nicely dressed, but served as if we were in a pizza resto. A shame that the poor service is ruining the rest.I did not appreciate the reaction of the waiter when we did not want to order wine either. Reserva una mesa ahora
Just a short way east along the Marne from Chateau-Thierry and well worth a visit, perhaps even a weekend. For many years, we have been using a house nearby and have a decent grasp of what's available in the area. This is a first-rate choice and our extended Saturday lunch could not have been more delightful. This small established inn, located in a lovely spot in the Surmelin Valley, has new leadership in its kitchen and the results are impressive. Skilled preparation is married to a quiet, easy, unpretentious atmosphere.
We were on the way from Reims to Paris and decided to stop here for lunch. It was a weekday and there were few other tables taken up. We asked to sit outside next to the stream and old bridge. We had the set menu which was reasonably priced. Food was as tasty expected for Michelin star standard and beautifully done. They gave us a free starter of cured meat and at the end we had free little madeleines for sweet.
Advised this was the best restaurant value for money in the area by our BnB so went and tried it out. Excellent service and food. Lovely surroundings next to a little stream. Food and wine perfect. The maitre d looked after Our party well and could speak English. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to the area. A little hard to find off the main road but worth it when you get there.
Food was delicious, service was really good and they spoke english. Not the cheapest place if you choose some local champagne to drink but affordable. The tabels were mostly occupied by couples who were really quite. So our companu with three kids added some noise there. But everyone was very friendly! Reserva una mesa ahora
