This was a family outing and it was really great to be allocated a round table which enhances the social interaction. The owner made us very welcome. There was a warm ambience and the decor was modern fresh and clean. There was a huge log fire but not lit as its now summer but I would imagine that really is wonderful in winter. There were some starters ordered by three of our party (see photos) and they were very good. For the mains we ordered various pizzas and pastas. These were all exceptional. We went with friends and needed to cater for a vegetarian (me) and meat eaters. We did not want crêpes or pizza which are the obvious choices for a veggie in Brittany. So we came to the Moulin de Celac, which does also do pizzas, and everyone had a great meal! The veggie choices included a Veg Burger and a noodle and veg stir fry. I had the burger which was sautéed onions and veg covered with grilled mozzarella, tomato and cornichons (gerkins). The bun was good bread and it came with chips and salad. We (4 of us) had lunch at the Moulin de Celac in July all opting for the daily 'formule ' which is very reasonably priced. We had booked a table and were able to sit outside on a gloriously hot day and enjoy the pleasant surroundings. This was a return visit for us all. The starters were nice and fresh but perhaps a bit on the basic side for some (Pate, Eggs Mimosa). All of enjoyed our main courses (I had the salmon, my friends had steak frites and said the steak was cooked well). We were recommended Le Moulin de Célac by our host at the Chambres d'Hote. It started well, a pleasant walk to find a pleasant looking restaurant beside the lake. It was a Thursday in June, but apart from a party in the room upstairs, the place was largely empty so we had no problem getting a table. The staff, including the owner, were all very pleasant and accommodating, but the food fell far short of expectations. I had a fish dish, and my wife had lamb shank. Both were not seasoned in any way that we could detect, and whilst this did not make them inedible, it did not nothing to endear them in any way. Not somewhere we will return to. We have been eating here for years both for lunch and evening meals. Always good value. The pizzas are great but if you don't like them there is plenty of other meals to choose from. The decor is lovely both inside and out. The restaurants in England could learn from the presentation of food at this restaurant. Good service.

We ate a couple of times here on a recent holiday. They do good pizzas and both fish and meat dishes we ate were good. The service is friendly though at times erratic. There are tables out on a terrace overlooking the lake for good weather; inside the atmosphere is lively making it a really enjoyable experience.

My wife and I plus numerous friends have eaten here on several occasions. We always receive a warm welcome and look forward to a meal that is of a high standard and thoughtfully prepared and presented. Very relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant is situated next to a beautiful lake.

Great food, good, friendly and straightforward service! The perfect mix for our family dinner. We recommend te linguinis w/ sea food and the “mi-cuit” chocolate cake dessert :

medium tarpaulin, not seasoned and no cute condiments of dry pork and too cooked. otherwise the service well improved
