We happened upon this location almost by accident... wanted a place close to the hotel that was reasonably rated. When we arrived and saw the Italian menu we almost left (having just spent a week in Italy , but we were tired and the decor was very interesting so we stayed. We are VERY happy to have made that decision! Our waiter, Hamdi (fantastic service! gave us some background and history of the restaurant (menu changes every 2 weeks for fresh, seasonal, local ingredient updates . We had a delicious starter of fresh vegetables, which was refreshing and light. Main course was truffle pasta (to die for homemade and very large portion. I wish I could have eaten it all! For dessert was tiramis...
We found Le Nicoletta by chance while we walking the streets of St. Germain-en-Laye. The first time we did not have a reservation and could not get in. But when we did, we did not regret a moment. The menu is very short, but very enticing. The names of the plates are interesting as they are take offs from various films by Alain Delon. The food is wonderful. And you may be served by Nicoletta herself, but the rest of her team is fantastic too. The restaurant is small, so make a reservation. If you happen to be in the Paris area, don't hesitate to take the train out to St Germain, visit this beautiful town, and enjoy a most excellent dinner at Le Nicoletta.
The Nicoletta has just completed a year in St Germain and makes a great addition to the choice of restaurants in the town. It offers a selection of appetisers to share, and main courses dominated by different pastas. Meat and fish dishes are available but the choice is limited. Good choice of Italian wines. The restaurant is small (seats c. 27) and the kitchen tiny. Friendly staff; good value for money (dishes are copious).
Having read the reviews and talked to people, I found this was a bit of a disappointment.The food quality is good. The service is fast and efficient, but there is just something that does not work for me.The tables are crammed in, the food is designed to be fast and easy to prepare and whilst a clever idea, it didn't work for me.It obviously works for others based on the reviews.

We had a reservation but when we came the reality was different! Unfortunatelly nobody in the restaurant was helpfull even after showing the email correspondence confirming the reservation. So be carefull. By lucky we found a mexican one with great food snd great people! The mexican was full but as they knew what happened they help us! This is the big difference!
This restaurant offers mainly pasta that are well cooked and with a genuine Italian taste. Wide choice of Italian wines as well. The downside is the success of this place. The room is small crowded and when full quite noisy. Booking was not well managed so we had to switch tables during our dinner. They offered us a free digestive which was appreciated.
I don't understand the high rating. The service was so bad, wine was bad (we tried a few , my husband had hair in his pasta and the food didnt taste good at all! Maybe save you time and money for some place you can enjoy : cheers!
Place is small, nice decoration, extravagant in some ways, food was good but our dishes ver uncomfortable to eat due to the plates we got, way too expensive and they give an arrogant impression

A tiny place and small menu, and despite some initial reservations about "fussy kids" we gave it a go. Great sharing starter and perfect mains. Lovely service.
Highly recommend restaurant with very good food and awesome staff. The service is though slower at noon ..
