Le Palais Champenois

I strongly recommend staying at the Palais Champenois if you are looking for a peaceful and unique place to stay in Champagne in France. Florence and Patrick were wonderful hosts for my wife and I. Our room was spacious and beautifully prepared for us. Florence's breakfasts were fantastic and I was looking forward to it every morning. It was also fun to try their champagne and talk to them about its history. If you stay here, I recommend renting a car because Rilly-la-Montagne is pretty small and Reims is on a short drive. We stayed with Florence and Patrick for 3 days at Easter and we can recommend it to all. The location, room and especially the hospitality of Florence and Patrick were excellent. Florence serves a delicious breakfast, everything is local and homemade. Patrick makes fabulous champagne. We'll be back! If you come to Champagne for visits and tastings, we recommend you to have a visit with one of the famous houses but also to make sure to visit Patrick for a much more personal experience and closer to the champagne manufacturing process (for the famous houses we had visits with Taittinger and Moet Chandon and preferred the second).
