We were in the Panier quarter specifically to apprise the changes and renovations being made these have been the principle projects of the city for the last four years. Such an exhausting expedition builds an appetite, and so we were searching for restaurants at...the Place de la Major, having just exited the cathedral's cold cold vaults. We badly wanted seafood [by the quai] in the full sunlight. A young waiter deftly maneuvered us to a patio table with his enthusiastic advise and promise of our satisfaction. Le Palais de la Major is the seafood restaurant of three side-by-side restos occupying the superbly designed escarpment of the beautiful cathedral. These restaurants can accommodate di...

I went with five friends to Le Palais de la Major for drinks after dinner. my friends from Marsella recommended us this place so we were excited to be there. When we arrived there were some people waiting in line, when we were close to...the security guy, we heard one of them asking to the other guy “where are these girls from?” and he answerd they are Spanish , so the first one told the second one not to let us in. We asked directly why they do not let us in, and he said without any shame that it was because we were Spanish. I should mention that being an elegant local we were dressed for the occasion, and therefore this could not have been the reason for the refusal of entry. Finally add t...

We were very disappointed. They should offer a higher standard service, and compatible with the price they charge. The place is cool with nice deco but the service was just terrible. You can see the waiters are overloaded and unable to provide proper attention to...the clients. We were there just for a coffee at the end of the day and we had to wait long for this simple service. I would that the ladies WC was also a disaster. A place with a super location that should be better managed.

Unfortunately we can't give zero stars, but if we could, we would. Despite the inviting decor and seeming popularity, this was deceptive as our starter was re-heated in the microwave and caused illness. The main courses were incredibly bland and one of them was cold....The meal and experience was nowhere near what you would expect from a much less expensive restaurant. Overall, very unhappy customers. Avoid at all costs.

Unbelievable!!!! Very clean and very welcoming, the servers are at the top of the summit! I went there with my friends, I come from afar and if I come back to Marseille I will not hesitate to come back a second time in this beautiful restaurant, everything is very good and you have a wonderful view on the terrace. I recommend it 100% and thank you to the whole team and to the leader of this simply beautiful restaurant.

This place had everything to be a top restaurant: wonderful location and classy inside, sun and...amazing and tasty food. Unfortunately the service is simply not at an acceptable level: the staff is totally stressed and unable to manage the service. The attitude is allo unfriendly...and at the limit to be rude with the client. Where is the manager ?

We went here late at night, face control and ropes at the entrance make you wonder because the guest were rather normal, maybe it's for security. Pleasant seating outside whereas the crowd dances in side in a cozy modern and spectacular decor. A new style,...a new Marseille, live bands, fancy drinks, short skirts , cool guys the place to be ???

We just came out of the Cathedrale de la Major and saw this restaurant by the water. We had simple lunch that day with the heat. But it was so elegant outside. The poor waiters had long pants and long sleeve shirts on a day. Indoors is beautiful. Check out the picture.

A good moment of gustative pleasure for individual flat taste buds I find round tables a little narrow to be more comfortable
