Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. A simple but decent breakfast. The dinner we had in the hotel was pretty good. Attentive service, we never had to wait too long. The adjacent bar (not part of the hotel I believe) was a generous place who...put on the Tour de France stage finishes. A good location (opposite the railway station with plenty of places to park cars (for free). The views of Saint-Claude from the terrace are very nice. Rooms were clean, and of a reasonable size given the price per night. All our bicycles were safely locked away in the Hotel's garage just next door. Nicely prepared fresh John Dory with steamed potato and spinach soufflé. Decent wine and coffee. I would return. I noticed on leaving I could have gotten the prix fixe menu a lot cheaper but of course the choices were more limited. I had my heart set on fish and it may not have been an option on the prix fixe. My bad for not being more attentive. Still all in all a very good meal.

I noticed when leaving that I had got the Prix Fixe menu much cheaper, but of course the decisions were more limited. I had put my heart on fish and it might not be an option on the Prix Fixe. My mistake not to be more attentive. Still in a very good meal.
