I was in Vendays-Montalivet to visit my family again, but because the purpose of the trip was not free time we did not waste time to eat new places. during my week in the opposite we had twice here at midday. it is the same formula - a little more expensive. as a february last for three courses in the week with a supplement for articles like the bavette d’aloyau. the price increases to include the supplements as standard. first first cure is an salatbuffet: a selection of items: tomatensalat, celeriac, couchs, rice, some cultivated meat, brawn. very tasty. at both my brother and I ate the bavette that was excellent. my brother thought it was one of the tenderest steaks he would have ever eat...

We stopped for lunch on Saturday. Four courses for soup of the day, hors d'oeuvres, main course and dessert. There was a selection of about items for the help-yourself buffet (one visit only), choices for main courses and even more choice for...dessert or cheese. The cuisine is described as traditional Basque—I can't say whether it is not, but it's definitely tasty. My companions ate confit de canard, and I ate the lomo à cheval which turned out to be, more or less, bacon and eggs. Portions were perfectly acceptable in size. We didn't really study the wine list. I choose a red wine from Pays Basque for that was on the blackboard. Bordeaux clairette was on offer at Service was friendly and we...

my brother lives near vendays montalivet. during my visit to him, le papyum is a regular stop for morning coffee,- midday or late afternoon beer. we always get a very kind greeting from the chef (and chef) and his wife. the set menu...for lunch (no evening meal) is round euro. the first cure is a buffet collection of charcuterie, salads, pâté, etc. there may be dinge. the menu has a selection or element. I can honestly say that I never had a bad meal. it is amazing how chef manages to produce so delicious food from the tiny cooking room at one end of the bar. there is always a choice dessert, although I imagine that they are mainly bought. we always prefer to sit in the house for lunch. ther...

my partner had lunch of the day. he said the pig/gammon was excellent. I had an salate that was huge. we sat outside. it's a bit close to the street, but that was our decision to sit there, we could have been sitting inside. great couple. work on this evening. he spoke a few words English and it was enough to come by. thanks for a good meal
