Le Parvis - Reserva de mesa

I came here with a big group of friends a couple of weeks ago and had a great evening. Almost everyone ordered the same thing (fois gras lamb cutlets,) and it was delicious. I've spent a lot of time in this area, and I was really struck by the patience and friendliness of the staff at Le Parvis. Most of our group couldn't speak French, which often (understandably) leads to a frosty reception and quite a bit of tutting - especially when the customers in question are inebriated. However, the staff at this restaurant were lovely, and they were happy to oblige with English translations and taking photos etc. Thank you for a wonderful meal and a fun evening!

Even after pre-warning of a gluten free requirement, all they could offer was vegan tofu! Tuna starter taste was overwhelmed by capers. Mackerel main course alternative with tiny potato decoration was too strong with no accompaniment for balance. The only good thing was gf pudding rhubarb and raspberries but my fellow diners had three chewy and tasteless choux balls. Wine prices unrealistically high. Staff overly attentive but lacked finesse, plates cleared before all had finished. Very unimaginative and poor value for money.

After a long drive from Spain.We stopped at Saintes for the evening.We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel.After a little difficulty finding it we were delighted at what we found.The staff charming especially the lady Maitre de.My French was terrible but she spoke some English and helped us through the menu, which was delicious.Will come come again when we travel from Spain again

We were looking for a nice restaurant and by chance called into the tourist information office, they gave us the name and address of Le Parvis. The food and the staff were all first class, the meal was worth every penny it cost.You would not regret an evening there. Reserva una mesa ahora

We loved it, from the beginning. No pushing, no hassle . Tasty and best looking plates I've seen for some time. With a Pastis Aperitif and a chilly white Sancerre it could not have been any better. Mostly recommended.

One of the best restaurants in the area. Macarons and foie gras, as well as paris-brest (pre-order) are amongst the spécialties.

Delicious light lunch. Lovely tasteful surroundings and friendly service. One of the best restaurants in Saintes.
