We ate at Le Passage for dinner twice during our visit to northern Corsica. The first time we sat on the terrace across the street with a nice view of the mountains, and the second time it was rainy and windy so we sat inside in the upstairs above the kitchen. Sitting outside with a view of the mountains was great but we really liked the ambiance of the charm of the indoor seating. The food was excellent. Over the course of two visits between the three of us we had lasagna, veal, boar, lamb, linguine, cheese beignets, and charcuterie. The portions were large and a definite value for money paid. We couldn't have been happier. My son has food allergies, and because we could not find a menu online, we contacted them prior to our visit via Facebook messenger. They responded with specific suggestions and they were excellent about confirming everything when we ordered. We also noticed that they proactively discouraged a pregnant woman at the next table from ordering a particular dish which was made with unpasteurized cheese. We felt very safe eating here with dietary restrictions.

Nice place to eat, mine food was ok, just not very hot. My wife had the lasagna which was very, very dry. I think we just had bad luck, the lasagna on the other tables looked really good. We did mention the lasagna was very dry, but nothing was said or done with it. Could be a language barier. Would try again.

We had never heard about Corbara and the Le Passage, it was our first trip to Corsica. We had rented a “Cave” at Chez Caro and needed some food. We were hungry after a long ferry trip from Nice. We found this place, nothing glossy, but looked very local and friendly. We listened to the waiter who made recommendations to us. Waouu, it tasted absolutely delicious, and the taste of some of the dishes was new to us. Best restaurant meal ever, I said to my wife. After the meal we were invited and met the chef (s) and had a very pleasant talk. Being from the North (Norway and my wife is fluent in French language is a clear advantage)

Avoid. We regularly travel and food is always a central part to our holiday experience. When researching a restaurant with 5 star ratings online one’s expectations will inevitably be high. But even without having read their online reviews it is fair to say the food is an outright let down. Stodgy, flavourless, loveless. From starter to the main course. Thankfully we could save ourselves the dessert which we luckily hadn’t ordered yet. Of a one weeks holiday in beautiful Corsica it was hands down the worst and most unremarkable meal we had, having had some truly remarkable food in Corsica. Bon voyage!
