We ducked inside because our baby was asleep and it didn't look as crowded as everywhere else (which in hindsight should have been a warning sign!) but it was terrible. I ordered a steak bavette which turned out to be a piece of old shoe leather and my wife ordered a Belgium beef stew which came out barely warm and tasting like something that comes from a tin (which I'm pretty sure it did!). The fries were basically the same type of chips you get from a UK kebab shop and the timbleful of wine we each ordered was practically vinegar.All in all a bad bad meal from a place whose business plan is clearly to pull in tourists and serve them cheap overpriced food knowing that they'll never have to...
Wandering around Lille this evening, just off the Grand Place, we saw a street of restaurants. Attracted in to this one as my daughter wanted mussels and they were offering a mussels and chips deal for under ten euro. Service was good and quick and they loved my ten year old trying out her school French and were very friendly in return. Food was delivered quick and was both hot and tasty (I had a nicely cooked rare steak). Dessert was nice the tarte tatin particularly tasty. Overall I felt I got very good valu for what we payed and good service as well.
Visited this brasserie on 14 January 2017.(Order) We ordered:(1) mussels in white wine and celery with chips (€9.90); and(2) duck breast with chips and salad (€15.60).The mussels were cheap compared to other shops in the area (although the portion appeared to be slightly smaller). The duck tasted fine.(Staff) We do not speak much French, so spoke in broken phrases, but the staff were friendly and helpful.
Le passage is a restaurant for tourists that I had the unpleasant opportunity to visit. First of all, service is extremely slow. It took quite a while for me to get my dish and a great deal more to pay the bill. I had the moules frites and they were not that good. Poor quality and the sauce was not tasteful. Really disapponting, I don't recommend this restaurant.

We're not expecting much when we stopped on a rather cold Sunday evening. We were amazed by the fish of the day: turbot. It was really nicely cooked and accompanied by delicious cèpes. The home made cassoulet was on the oily side but tasted divine. Very generous portions and excellent value for money. The dog was made welcome too.
This place is nothing special but my wife's périgourd salad and my modules/ frites were ok but the cream seemed to be congealed or combined with flour? Service was prompt and ok. Server spoke French a little too fast for me- or was it the accent?
If you don't want fancy food, yet good food and don't want to spend a fortune. This is the place to be!Ate a nice three course menu for only 20 euros. Some toasts with salmon and salad, a tagliatelles with chicken and tiramisu as dessert.
I had sea bass and friend had Moules Marinere.. Very good. Restaurant very busy but staff very attentive. Fast service. Reasonable price. I recommend this restaurant.

First visit was 6 months ago. No review but enjoy sitting outside looking at the walking crowd.dinner is good tonight. Reasonable price and taste is excellent.
Nice place just off the main square in Lille. Excellent, accommodating service. Fare is nothing too fancy but good. Went back a few times.
