mid-week ende oktober was montluçon eerily quiet, but this place was almost full, always a good sign. the service was moderate and yet friendly and the menu if not imaginatiw was exceptionally well delivered. the puff bakery starters were well presented and delicious. I had a...salmon steak, which was well cooked and served with a Laek tembale that was fresh and well seasoned. my man had a steak that would be generous in size, perfectly cooked and of an excellent quality along with reasonable price you would highly recommend
We were wandering around this medieval town centre looking for somewhere to have an evening meal. We noticed this place was busy always a good sign. All the outside tables were either taken or reserved but as it was over 35 degsC we were...so glad to eat inside where it was a bit cooler. Attentive service, well presented home cooked food. Simply delicious... Very friendly, too.
The place was packed and looked the part. Service was over stressed, which was understandable taking the temperature and the workload into account. The food was however unforgivably sloppily prepared. The entrecôte was not freshly fried, the salad not appetizing and the tiramisu was frozen....The wine was excellent and not overpriced.
the restaurant is pretty small, and especially during summer you had better reserve a table. you can eat good food, really delicious entrecote with different sides. the service is quite fast and really professional. the staff is polite. I liked stay here, it is a...nice place to pass a good evening with friends or colleagues.

Situated in the old town. The restaurant is atmospheric with industrial decor and low lighting. Service was very good and surprising fast. All given with a smile. The food was great with good portion size. The only down side being the small choice of beer...on offer. Will put this Bistrot on our favourites list!
I ordered the court. it was dry and tasteless. the salate, which came with the salmon, consisted of a budding uninspiring salate with a small piece of tomato on top with a tasteless brown dressing. there was a rice side dish with a...inzig piece laek in a thick white sauce. I left most of my meals on the plate.
ok service, good location, but needs trained staff. it took a long time until the young waiter acknowledged us to look for some girls, to take the order and forget another waitress came and took the order. do not think that it...was bad, but only showed lack of service mentality
Fabulous bistro. Don't be fooled by modern setting with industrial/ worker signs, safety helmets, etc. Cassoulet du canard was just the sort of dish we came to France for. Or better. Heaven. Merci beaucoup!

very good food. my man rated his Burger-Foie-Gras as one of the best burgers he had and he had many burgers! my salmon was excellent with cheek and cheese.
A great welcome with delicious, copious amounts of good quality food and sensible wine list. Can't wait to return when next in montlucon
