Following TA advice we tracked down this restaurant, and it's not easy to make a reservation you have to phone the hotel that it is in La Montagne. It's not highly visible from the street either. We had fondue one night tasty and plentiful for 14 euros each. Another in our party had a melon and prosciutto salad which was deemed very good too. When we returned we had the pierrade, which was a bit overpriced at 25 euros each, but delicious. It came with frites and a tasty green salad. The staff are attentive and efficient, and quickly changed a tablecloth and serviette when our grandchild upset a drink. They were also helpful at recommending a wine. Very warm welcome, friendly waiter. However, we are a little disappointed with the quality/price ratio. We ordered a porcini mushroom fondue, which was very watery. Despite several returns to the kitchen and a small improvement, it was not a Savoyard fondue in my opinion, because it was still very liquid. I still note that the servers were very nice, that they listened to our opinions and tried to satisfy us as best they could. Still quality products, the Roussette de Savoie white wine is very good
Found our way here when the rest of La Clusaz was rammed and it was a very pleasant surprise. Being a hotel, we were not expecting anything special but we had the local dish tartiflette and it was one of the best we have had in La Clusaz. We ordered a glass of house Cote du Rhone to go with it and that was the best house red I've had anywhere. Staff were friendly but a little distracted by other duties at times. Well worth a visit though recommend it.
We have been very well received, warm and elegant for reasonable prices, very good tartiflette, it does not laugh with portions even for children. very friendly and welcoming servers.

very friendly restaurant in the hotel la montagne. warm setting tables are spaced enough for enough privacy. excellent and rich savoyard specialties. We'll be back.
