When we pulled up in the car park, we very nearly drove off. The restaurant doesn’t look amazing from outside and we could see there was literally no one in the restaurant! However, we decided to go in and we were very pleased we did. The host was excellent. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. 2 of us had the specials, which included an excellent Wild Boar dish. The other adult went a la carte and our son had the child’s menu. No one was disappointed. The restaurant never filled up, but there were 4 or 5 other tables of people sat outside with us to create enough atmosphere. Overall, a success.

Je ne comprends pas les commentaires négatifs sur ce restaurant. Le patron, sa femme (et leur fils ? sont charmants. La cuisine, sans être fantastique, est de bonne qualité. N’arrivez pas trop tard, sinon vous serez à l’intérieur et la salle manque définitivement d’atmosphère. Faites particulièrement attention aux Mardis où tous les restaurants de Château Chalon sont fermés à part une guinguette et ceux qui veulent déjeuner doivent aller à Voiteur (ce fut notre cas .

lunch break on the return of the Royal Arc and Senans saline. A warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, a wood fire. Very good beginning. Then a very good meal, fresh, well cooked, generous portions.For a reasonable price, given the quality. I really recommend. Thank you to this beautiful team for this good time.

we arrived very late and yet we had the kindness to serve us; moreover, it was delicious and warm. next time, the restaurant will be booked free parking a few km from the Abbey of Baume-les-Messieurs.

Petit endroit très sympa..les propriétaires sont très sympathiques....nous avons très bien mangé...j ai adoré entre autre la brioche aux morilles...
