Le Pinocchio is a pizza restaurant, but offers other Italian dishes and WONDERFUL appetizers, particularly the carpaccio. Pizzas are European style thin crust, with about 30 different listed menu combinations ... excellent! Very nice wine offerings. Not expensive. My wife and I ate there several times over a 3-month stay in Langeac. Typically we shared a large appetizer, a nice-sized pizza, and a dessert (nice, home-made desserts). With drinks, our bill would be 30 to 35 Euros, or about 45-50 American dollars. Some wines can raise the bill considerably. Charm and ambience. Modestly lit for dinner, the restaurant is very quaint in its decor... and, from small to large, is also decorated with Pinocchio puppets. From June to Sept, you can dine outside on the narrow, cobblestone street, located in the oldest and most historical part of the town ... again quaint, and fascinating. It can also be quite ROMANTIC, particularly if you take a table inside, on the UPPER floor The restaurant is small inside, and also quite popular. So, either have reservations on busy days, or arrive BEFORE opening time to wait. Langeac town is also picturesque, with a great park, river(great salmon fishing, rafting and canoeing on the Allier River), camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. And a couple of wonderful historic attractions. BEAUTIFUL countryside surrounds town, and lovely, fascinating neighboring villages. There is a tourist info office in the town center.

In a small side street in the main town. Lots of tables you can sit outside and relax. Quite a few locals seem also to come to this Restaurant, which seems a good indication of the decent food.We have been twice, over the week we were in Langeac.First time we made the logistic error of thinking the bruschetta would be a similar starter to what we have in the UK; i.e Pizza Express, but trust me, it's the size of a main meal. Lovely, but order 1 for 2 people and not 2 seperate starters.Main meal of pizza, was lovely thin crust. I had lardon with cheese. My other 'alf' had pizza with 4 cheeses. We both enjoyed it.With the dessert x 2/coffee and a bottle ofRose wine, it came to €62 euros. Would give it 14/20.

I opened the door of the Pinocchio with my son more than 30 years after my father did it with me. The place has little changed inside, but more pizzas here Therefore, I could be little objective in my note, because even if the products are of the terroir and of very good quality, the dishes made home, the perfect welcome, the price is high and not a plate of vegetables.

Nice little restaurant with super friendly staff. We were surprise by the pizza. The menu is good and they have a very dessert proposition. A good place if some one fancy a pizza in Langeac.
