Le Platane - Reservar una mesa

The menu du jour here is 16€, a 50cl jug of wine 4.50€ - available even on a Sunday [when we were there].However the food was much better than the price suggests - we had warm goats cheese salad followed by confit de canard with the best pommes de terre sautees I've tasted in ages. This was followed up by a glorious chocolate marquise. All of this was made in their kitchen. Sabine, the chef, should be proud of herself!

The main attraction of this little village restaurant is the friendly welcome you get there, coupled with the good value it represents. 18 euros a head for a main course and a pudding with a good local glass of wine (the local producer is now independent and making a sound wine).

Came across this little traditional place while on the canal de midi by accident. Wasn't expecting such a fantastic setting, wonderful food and what a lovely welcome we got from the owner. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Hopefully I will return.

quiet and sunny, super nice and polyglot. If the latter offers a dish of the day, take it, its kitchen is excellent. Alle, I'm going back, hi!
