Le Poisson d'Or - Reserva de mesa

On our way back north to uk from the Mediterranean coast we stopped at Macon overnight. We found this gem on the internet and called to book in our best franglais. The staff upon arrival were friendly and welcoming and spoke a little English along with our efforts to speak French. We explained our dietary needs and they understood and guided us through the menu with this in mind. The food was excellent and the wine list extensive with plenty local wines at a reasonable price. Not a cheap night out but great value for the quality delivered. We would recommend. A big thank you to the charming hostess who served us and kept us well looked after with a little English and French mixed in. Lovely...

a very good meal as a whole, in a modern and pleasant setting with the charm of the edge of saône, efficient and courteous service small flat on the wine list with a very small choice and prices a little high for this range of restaurant (example red bordeaux que trois wines au choix) nevertheless excellent evening to redo as soon as possible

we have very well eat delicate cuisine, good cooking, pleasant service but small weakness to inform us about the wines. also a lack of choice for other regions (only 3 bordeaux) damage. the open window at the end of the meal brought in bugs which has precipitated our departure. very beautiful room.

We were invited by my father in this new family landmark and also discovered a place that is undoubtedly a nice address!Friendly and unguineous service. beautiful view of the Saone. Nice map, good service. charming welcome. interesting menu including a good foie gras. nice plate but without surprise what does not remove anything from the freshness of the products. addition a little high in the end but interesting meals.

friendly setting and a kitchen with a very beautiful map (very varied). Only the service is a little disappointing, for example with frog thighs in 2 services, they could have changed the plates. for the rest not much to blame.
