after four years of hearing friends warmly recommend that we try this place, we finally went there on Valentine's Day. I was surprised how easy it was to make a reservation for two at 7:30 clock given the rave reviews this restaurant in the. popular presse about the last four years, including by philippe tastes in le devoir. as soon as they enter the restaurant, was the thing that disappointed us, the relatitve dated decoration and furniture that reminded me of old miami vice episodes. in our case the definitiw was a greeting that turned us off a bit. but we decided to “go with the flow” anyway and let the wine that food and service determine how the evening would end. we were not disappoint...

We dined here after the restaurant was recommended by the clerk of our hotel. This place is a dining experience to say the least. Neither my wife nor I are overly familiar with true French cuisine and our waiter was exceptional in explaining the menu...items and making recommendations. We shared a number of dishes, including fois gras, bison Tatar, pasta and a succulent duck breast. The dill pickle bread was out of this world, served warm and very fresh. The restaurant uses local produce, including local wild mushrooms. The homemade gelato dessert was unlike anything I had ever had before and my wife loved the fruit and chocolate purée. The coffee was excellent. The restaurant has a patio ov...

we were excited to eat in this restaurant on the basis of a recommendation of a local person, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. eating was good, but not great, but the actual problem was the service. the restaurant was not excessively busy, but our...exhaustible, while friendly at the beginning, seemed to simply lose interest in serving us. we had to ask for water, after our dessert (that came with the table d’hote), and the bill, and at the end had to rely on other server to come to our rescue. poivre noir presents itself as an upscale restaurant, the location at the river is wonderful, the decor is high-end, and the prices are on the expensive side, but management needs to check...

Had a family gathering to celebrate my Mom s 90 th birthday here with a group supper. We had been here five years ago on the same occasion and were impreesed by the quality of the food. We made a reservation luckily as...the place was full. We had a wonderful view of the St Lawrence River at sunset. We had drinks and hor d oeuvres foie gras au torchon fantastic ! Halibut for the main course was excellent as well. A nice selection of either white or red wine top things off. However, service was extremely slow and restaurant probably short staffed. We commented on the slow service and received complementary deserts nice touch ! We shall definetly return and hope things will not be as busy. I s... Reserva una mesa ahora

This summer I had the privilege of eating at the outdoor terrace and was completely pleased with my Tapas Definitely new in the presentation and the food itself. The restaurant has a marvellous Expiatory Menu where one can eat according to ones appetite for sure,...but in sharing different tasting foods. The level of quality and excellence of this Restaurant is awesome!!! Their martinis are to die for. Not cheap, but worth every penny. The service is outstanding and the Holiday Menus are becoming a must each year. Service with a smile, and Great Great Chef. A-1 in my book. Five Stars.

The food was amazing. The setting is also spectacular on the terrase. The servings are small, but this was explained to us before ordering. The range of the menu is also great; lots of appealing meals to choose from. The downside to our trip was...the service. The time lapse between our starters and main was about an hour. Then, not everyone at our table was served at the same time. It also took a long time to get the attention of our waiter in order to get the bill (and then for paying).

I went with a friend at Poivre Noir and looked for something special in the region of Trois-Rivieres. We were impressed by the services and the waiters presented us all the meals in English. Menu were great and location fantastic, this restaurant is one of...the best I went in that city.

very disappointed by this restaurant, as the review was quite strong. not much on the menu, pricy, but more than likely, eating was simply not delicious. presentation also not very refined. strong point: incredible view of the St-Lawrence river! Reserva una mesa ahora
